At StrategyClicks, we enjoy learning from the speakers at Ted Talks. Ted Talks can be found at Ted.com and are promoted as “Riveting talks by remarkable people, free to the world.” These talks are extremely inspirational with every topic imaginable being covered by every celebrity you can imagine. Among my favorites are: Dan Pink: The Puzzle of Motivation, Shawn Achor: The Happy Secret to Better Work, Dan Pallotta: The Way we think about charity is dead wrong – to name a few.
What is YOUR Ted Talk? What could you share with the world about a Life Lesson that you have learned? You don’t need to be a CEO of a major Fortune 500 company to understand motivation or to have scaled Mt. Everest to understand the power of perseverance.
Why not take time to think about what you want to teach your children, your friends, or your community and write it down. Imagine that you have 15 minutes to present that story at a Ted Talks Conference and spend some time refining that story. Remember this story when you feel the need to refill your reserve of passion. It is a powerful story even if you only tell it to yourself!
